On the Shinkansen from Hiroshima with My parents, last week.

I found the Vonnegut book in a secondhand bookshop in Hiroshima. It’s a 1972 print and has green-edged pages. Retro gold! I’ve only read a couple of chapters so far and it seems to be one of those “1984″-esque amusingly retro-futuristic books (it was written in 1952), albeit less overtly allegorical than Orwell’s book. More personal, it seems. Hm.
